Set across different floors, Hocus Pocus Day Nursery provides a safe space for children to develop and thrive within our setting. Each room focuses on getting the best out of each individual child across their age group.
At Hocus Pocus Day Nursery the safety of your child is of the utmost priority, which is why our nursery has secure CCTV fitted across all rooms and outdoor play areas. Health & Safety also play an important part in nursery life. Our in house procedures and practices are monitored on a regular basis to ensure compliance.
Our setting also has a named Health & Saftey Officer who is responsible for carrying out regular health and safety checks in and around nursery.
Mini Stars provides a safe and nurturing environment for your baby.
Designed with our youngest children in mind. You will find a range of equipment which encourages crawling, and first aided steps.
Toys are engaging and are in a range of man-made and natural materials, giving children opportunities to discover their surroundings. Short local trips out of the nursery encourage discovery of the world.
In Little Stars, we understand that this is the age of exploration and inevitable bumps! Our highly experienced staff, with over 34 years of combined experience, are not just talented educators. They are also quick to catch a wobbly toddler and provide those all-important cuddles when bumps happen.
Many nurseries do not offer a dedicated room for children who are not quite ready for the hustle and bustle of preschool (Mega Stars). In Super Stars, our highly qualified staff work diligently to prepare your toddler for the next steps. With over 35 years of combined experience, our team takes great pride in their ability to provide exceptional care and support.
In Mega Stars, our pre-schoolers prepare for their biggest step: Big School. With two staff members qualified to degree level and a combined 45 years of childcare experience, we excel at bringing out the best in your child. Our team focuses on developing confidence, language and communication skills, basic mathematics, and much more. Additionally, many of our children wear a simple, optional uniform to help them get accustomed to the routine that most primary schools require.
Hocus Pocus designs its menus according to government guidelines. Our full time cooks cater for most dietary requirements, including vegetarian, halal only and allergies. If your child has special requirements or allergies, let us know and we will, where possible cater for them.
Hocus Pocus is fortunate to have a large indoor soft play area. This room, is possibly the noisiest in the building, usually filled with giggles and shrieks of delight, and not just on rainy days! It also comes complete with fairy lights and other sensory delights.
Here we have a large grassy area that is used to its full potential at sports day (weather permitting). Natural play includes a large mud and water play area, stepping stones and den making.
We also utilise the garden where possible for picnics, pumpkin rolling at Halloween and building snowmen at Christmas, although the latter has taken place in March on at least one occasion!
